Many joined in to bring the Christmas tree to “"life”. The lights were carefully placed, and the Merry Christmas banner hung. We called each child’s name to come get their ornaments and hang them carefully where ever on the tree they wanted.
Several days later, we made our house look a bit like Christmas. With our little tree and the manger scene that Lorna’s father made and our elephants with hats and giraffes with wreaths, we are feeling a little more like Christmas. The ladies (Margaret, Laura and Lorna) even dressed the part.
Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. Luke 2:11-14
